Well, I have always been an active person. Honestly I just can't sit still for too long! I work a very physical job (we are referred to as industrial athletes). Most people think that my biggest motivation is my wedding next May 2014. I must say, that is always in the back of my head. What I am really into is the fact of just being healthy and being the best that I can be. I have been struggling for years. I weighed 120lbs in 2004 and crept up to my max of 181lbs by the end of 2007. That was a devastating time for me. I lost some of the weight and got down around 155 by mid 2008. Since then I have been fluctuating from the 140's to the 160's. I am tired of it! It's time to take control of my life and get healthy! I started my 1 year gym membership in March 2013 and I am giving it hell!
I love working out because it gives me a sense of personal strength. This is the first time I have put my mind to it and not given up. I will never give up! I am just in love with it! I can't live without it! I am to the point where I am focusing a lot of my time on weight training. I am also running sprints at least 4 times a week for cardio. I catch myself checking out how nice my arms are starting to look even though I have a ways to go! It just feels great! It's relatively inexpensive to join a gym and it is something that you can do daily. I rather spend my time working out than doing anything else.
