I got started because I was overweight. I didn't mind the fact that I was fat as much as I minded the fact that I was fat and weak. So I started doing pushups, everyday because I though that if I was gonna be a fat person, then at least I was gonna be strong enough to lift my fat butt. Within those first few weeks of pushups, I completely changed my diet. I'm on the paleo diet, and it really fits me and my lifestyle. One week into the paleo diet, and I just decided to turn my life around. I started a 12 week program and I've lost close to 25 pounds. Now, I want buil lean muscle and be in the best shape that I can possibly be.
Bodybuilding gives me a sense of purpose and control that I've never had in my life before. That's why I'm hooked, that's why I can't give it up now. If I give it up, I give up myself. I love the daily feeling of knowing that I can count on my body if I need it. I love to feel strong and healthy, and I love to look better everyday.
