I got started when I realized it was time to make a change. I was tired of my dad and brother poking fun at me for being chubby; so I told them I would prove them wrong one day. And that day came, after hours of hard work in the gym, personal research on nutrition, and never being phased by the naysayers. I'm still getting healthier and stronger to this day and won't stop until my limbs have completely thrown in the towel and run their course. Remember, the weight is only as heavy as your mind makes it, and the mind is the strongest facet in your body.
I absolutely love working out because there's ALWAYS room for improvement. The changes seen in your physique serve as not only markers of progress but also areas you can continue to build upon. My main reason used to be so I could turn some heads, but I came to realize that was trivial. It comes down to living a healthy lifestyle; through working out consistently and having a clean nutritional diet, this longevity is attained. The progression one undergoes in the gym also extends to how one handles endeavors outside of the gym as well, in terms of discipline and overall growth as a person. You only have one life to live, embrace it and make the most of it!
