I've always been pretty active but after seeing one of my friend's Instagram photos, I signed on with her coach and fell instantly in love with lifting and the community. I instantly got hooked to lifting heavy and tracking my macros. I love baking and coming up with great protein powder recipes and sharing them on Instagram and Facebook. I met a quadriplegic named Vanessa Rogers who qualified for, and competed in, the Arnold Classic 2015! Her and I decided to make a fitness community called Forth Fitness to help all women and we stuck with it! We also became Bodybuilding.com affiliates in hopes to help others reap the same benifits we have from this site and more importantly, this commuinity.
#250kChallange
I wanted to keep a log of my challenges/successes as my transformation isn't just physical and when times are tuff, I want to remember where I came from!
I just moved to Vancouver after losing my job on the railway and was suffering a piriformis injury that left me unable to do cardio or workout my legs. The weight gain and decrease in training caused me to feel depressed! The more my body reverted to my pre-lifting body, the more it escalated. I got into an abusive relationship and began to drink. I still made sure to lift almost everyday though! Eventually I left the relationship and was cleared to workout again. Around the same time, the 250K challenge came across me on Instagram and it was perfect timing! Time to lose the wight I gained while off on injury and get my life back! I remember I had met the 2015 winner Robin at the Nicole Wilkins camp in Calgary recently and it felt like destiny
2016-02-5 Lost my job at the gym in the most expensive city to live in, in Canada over text message for no reason
2016-02-01 Lost my license until unpaid fines are paid from my ex :(
2016-02-10 My ex contacted me but I held strong and with everything going on, STUCK TO MY DIET
2016-02-13 6 weeks sober! I've decided to compete only 4 weeks after the #250k Challenge is over in Drug-tested Bikini
I love bodybuilding because I love watching my body transform. I love the community and all the hard work and dedication it takes. I like pushing myself, pushing my boundaries and really testing my own discipline. I like the way muscle looks on a female body- it's hot! I like learning new things and techniques constantly and hitting new PRs. The gym is my play ground!
