When I was a senior in high school, I was 230 pounds. After a break up, I decided I was done being ok with my poor health and started eating less and exercising more. I got down to 180, but after my first semester of college I was back at 215. I started a real health journey that December and have been down as low as 162. Along the way I've picked up bodyweight workouts, high intensity interval circuits (a personal favorite), and yoga. To supplement my workouts, I also became a vegan and my plant strong diet has fueled my fat loss tremendously. I started this BodySpace to help me through the final push to 8%. I'm out to show the world that fat kids can accomplish extraordinary feats just like anyone can, and to rewrite the stereotype of vegans.
A lot of people love what happens to your body on the outside, but as a former fat kid, I love improving my body and health for the intense happiness, joy, and inner peace that a fit body brings. Whether it's finally getting your first set of ten hand stand pushups, or simply looking in the mirror and realizing how far you've come, the pride that builds is the greatest part.
