I have always been interested in bodybuilding (you could see it in nearly anything I would draw). This interest became a reality in 1997 when I turned 12. I could no longer not workout and build my body. My family is very healthy and always encouraged me to pursue my dreams and goals -- they have been a major source of inspiration and encouragement to me!
I have had major ups and downs along the way. Most notably being 185 lbs. at 4 percent body fat and bench pressing a three rep max of 285 lbs. then getting sick (very sick -- they told me I almost died) with micoplasma pneumonia, and losing 20 pounds in a week (by the time I was well again, I was 139 lbs. at about 13 percent body fat and I would struggle to bench 90 lbs.). At least it keep me from becoming complacent. Ha! I hope to be back in good health now and ready to rebuild my body and surpass (by far) where I was before!
I love everything about it. The time in the gym, the constant test of my perseverance and dedication, the way it forms my body into the way I want it to be, the endorphins, the conversations that it starts, the friends that you meet (friendly competition and encouragement), and the fun the you have. Everything about it is amazing!!!
