I have never been "in shape." I've always been uncomfortable with my body. I drank a lot of alcohol (sometimes still do...) and ate decently, but I snack uncontrollably. I maxed out a few years ago at 222lbs. My lifestyle had really taken control of my body. I started to diet and do some cardio. Dropped my weight to about 200 lbs in a few months, but it fluctuated a lot because I was pretty much just dieting. I did not strength training until I was 29 years old. I got engaged in December of 2010 and my wedding was August 2011. I decided, in February 2011, that I would lose some weight. I started to run three times a week using the c25k app for iphone and started physical training. I got started with a program called the Somanabolic Muscle Maximizer which gave me a good understanding of compound exercises and a very detailed nutrition plan. I lost about 15 lbs and started feeling pretty good about myself. I'm far from my ideal body, but I'm now going to begin the 12 week Shortcut to Size program and am ready to give it my all!
