I had my second child in March of 2010 and started working out again when he was about 3 months old. I went to the gym 3-4 times a week and did the elliptical or ran on the treadmill for about 25-30 minutes each time. I ate what I considered to be "good" and lost about 5-6 pounds but I was stuck at about 173 pounds. I had decided I was just going to have to settle in and look like a mom for the rest of my life. Afterall, I was working out but I wasn't losing weight. Then one day at the gym a trainer came up to me and asked me to do a body profile thing. I set it up and was shocked at the results. I was 173 pounds and had 34.9% bodyfat! I was overweight/obese. I didn't think I looked that bad but the numbers don't lie. So, we set up a training session "just to see" if I liked it. I survived it. With some diet changes along with working with a trainer twice a week for about 3 months, I lost 30 pounds. I also came to love working out, lifting weights, trying new exercises in the gym AND my bodyfat was down to 17%! My weight has started to creep back up a bit now. I have not been watching what I eat as much and have been giving in to cravings, etc.
