I have always been active in sports my entire life. Despite my active nature since childhood, I was a chubby kid growing up. I am more endo- and meso- morphic, which means I can gain muscle AND fat easily but have a harder time staying lean. I struggled with anorexia as a young teen and from there strove to learn to lead a normal, healthy life while maintaining my figure. My dream has always been to have a solid muscular physique with low body fat. Since recovering from anorexia I took it upon myself to learn as much as I possibly could about the science of training and nutrition and how I can achieve the physique I dreamed of in the most optimal fashion. Over the years I have acquired more knowledge and experience, and after befriending a personal trainer at my local gym in 2006,I decided to go towards the route of becoming a fitness trainer and overall fitness and nutrition specialist. From there I took an interest in competing in figure for the sake of the challenge and learning experience. Now I am hooked and have dreams of being a professional competitor and taking on other lucrative possibilities in the fitness industry as opportunities present themselves.
It keeps me healthy, strong and with confidence. I physically love the liberating and independent feeling I get when challenging my body and discovering just how far I can push myself more and more overtime...mostly because I challenge myself in all other aspects of life already.
