Retired CPT and LMT. Been working out most of my life. Had some serious years of training & the injuries along the way to prove it. I grew up with guys like Arnold, Lee Labrada, Ferrigno, Robby Robinson. Although I was not out to be a champion I knew that bodybuilding was the path I would stay on most of my life.
At my age, 62, it is a maintenance thing but I disagree on the over 50 workouts I've seen for my age group. Hell, I'm doing Jim Stoppani's 12 week program right now; doing all the exercises listed. True I can't lift like my younger days but hey--I'm still squatting, deadlifting, pressing; holding my own. The whole age thing is dependent on many factors. How long you've worked out---how well you've eaten in your life---and of course your overall mental status. Don't shy away from exercises because you think your too old. Trial and error is how you proceed at this age. Keep on keeping on. Stay healthy &;stay strong.......
