Joined Bally Total Fitness while in college to improve my overall health, and over the years built upon the muscular base developed earlier during my time competing in baseball and track & field. I went through periods of serious lifting to maintaining my gains in lean mass or losses in fat to simply going to the gym casually.
Now, after being fully recovered from a biking accident I find myself with an elevated bodyfat percentage, as well as being unable to comfortably take my shirt off in public. Fortunately, I managed to retain my lean mass, the bowlegged gait, and a sense of humor. Two of which should serve to help me in achieving my goals.
It's a stress reliever and confidence builder. I enjoy the discipline involved and feel a sense of accomplishment upon the successful completion of a program. Also, time at the gym is spent doing something good for myself, and this positively affects those around me.
