I got into lifting when I was in my early 20s, doing standard 4x10 programs and getting some major gains purely from my age and metabolism. I lifted heavy at times but never cracked a major boundary, still to this day. I did go through spurts where I reached 270 on bench, ~350 DL, etc. so I was happy at the time with that.
Now I do other activities that require some strength training but I'm focused more on natural movements and not as much of a focus on going really heavy. Now that I'm in my 30's, I focus on longevity and injury prevention while leaning out and building strength.
I don't set short-term goals with lifting so I am ok not getting major gains (in body fat loss or in major lift gainz). I'm at ease with my work in the gym since it really just helps me get better at the things I enjoy doing: climbing, hiking, tennis, etc. I also love bodybuilding tank tops and curate the best ones at https://tanktopsforsale.com/mens/bodybuilding-tank-tops/
As I get older, it makes me feel even better than it used to. I sleep better, I eat balanced diet, and I never have to say no to a fun activity because I'm not in shape.
