I'm a former marine who was once in the shape of my life. After getting out of the military I became complacent and unconcerned with fitness. I started gaining wait due to lack of exercise and bad eating habits. I didn't realize I was gaining wait at first until some of my favorite clothes didn't fit. I continued making excused as my weight and clothing sizes went up. One day I was in a fitting room trying to squeeze myself into a pair of size 38 jeans. I couldn't believe I couldn't fit into a size 38 jean. I was disgusted with myself. A man who was once at a 30" waist that could run for miles was having to face the fact I had to put on a size 40 jean. I went home and weighed myself for the first time in almost a year. I was tipping the scales at....... 223 pounds. Mind you I am only 5'2''. I decided it was time to make a change! I have since dropped 65 pounds.
Working out and body building has changed my life in every aspect. I feel more confident, more healthy, and more attractive. My wife and kids deserve the best me. I'm more energetic. Working out and body building has increased my self esteem, my pride, my happiness, my work ethic, and my life all around. I love the feeling of walking out of the gym after a long hard workout. I love being able to clime to the top of a mountain and feel great instead of feeling winded after half a flight of stairs. My eating habits are better. No soda or only eating once or twice a day. I sleep better and wake up easier. I'm addicted now! Working out has changed from a path to weight loss and health to a hobby and a lifestyle.
