I've always been in O.K. shape, or so I thought. That is until one day I got on the scales and saw that I was topping 216-pounds. That's the heaviest I've ever been. Most of the time I was hovering around 210lbs and thought I was alright.
Then one day I saw myself in the mirror and it disgusted me. I thought to myself, No more excuses. I've always wanted to be in great shape. So I made a pact with myself and had to answer one question. What does my life look like when it's right?
Not an easy answer when you really think about it and apply it to all the aspects of your life. I was finally able to scratch out some answers on a sheet of paper and made it a point to read it every morning and every night. I found that if you do it consistently for 27 days it will change your life.
One of the items on my list was to be in excellent shape. A friend told me about the Bodybuilding.com website and so I found it and looked around. I read the story about Rocky Detwiler and thought that if he could do it then so could I. I quickly realized that I was the only thing standing in my way of the body I dreamed of.
I started Kris Gethin's 12-week transformation and and I learned a ton. I've done a couple of other programs since then and did his 12-week Hardcore trainer. I'm seeing differences in my body and I feel great. I'm not yet to my goals, however I am on my way. My wife has seen my progress and has also started the transformation as has our daughter. I get inspired by other members just like me that are making changes to their lifestyle. I spend hours crusing through bodyspace and looking at progress pics and seeing changes people of all walks of life are making.
Bodybuilding.com community has been great for me. I have been able to successfully incorporate the principles I'm learning in bodybuilding to the other aspects of my life with excellent results. This lifestyle change is definitely a keeper for me.
I love this and its now my new way of life. I enjoy seeing the changes to my body and I love the extra energy I have. I never want to go back to the way I was living before. I hopped on to Bodybuilding.com and signed up. I read about Rocky Detwiler and he really inspired me to change. I found Kris Gethin's 12-week transformation program and decided to give it my best. I have been eating clean ever since. I then did the DTP program and then Y3T. I enjoy finding new workouts and completing them.
I've have been learning a lot from this program and from reading the many articles on Bodybuilding.com and I draw inspiration from the many members here. I often cruise through bodyspace and check out peoples progress pics. I enjoy seeing what other people have gone through during their transformation.
