I got started in fitness/weight training to add some size and performance for sports. Like many young teenage boys I was small and tiny and wanted to get bigger. Growing up I was competitive in baseball as a mid infielder and also track running the 100,200, and 400 meters, as well as the long and high jump. Throughout high school I lifted for sports and became involved in Olympic lifting competitions as well to improve athleticism. After high school my athletic career ended and I decided to purse a career in sports science/ sports performance. I got a BS in exercise science, became a practicing strength coach for college athletes, then eventually got a MS in exercise science with a strong background in biology. I now teach biology and exercise science at a junior college, and consult in sports performance and train privately.
I love being healthy, fit, and able to do things most people can no longer do. Your body is a gift and i plan on making the most of that gift for as long as i can.
