I used to work out just to maintain weight requirements in the Marine corp. Then during my deployment to Marja, Afghanistan in December 2011. I went weight lifting with a few friends.
I was hooked on after that. I had a natural long stamina. Also lifting more than one would think I was able to begin with. Once we returned I kept on the program till the beginning of 2013.
I stopped caring and losing motivation. Even worse once I finish my four year term in June of this year....
When I looked in the mirror in November I was shocked that I was once a Marine. I gained weight and lost a large amount of muscle mass.
Now I has set a new goal. It's not change back, but to change a life style I had before the Marine Corp. I lived a life of unhealthy nutrition. Now I will make a new life style. It's a new me, and a little of what the Marine Corp has brought out of me.
When I work out. I feel that all my stress goes away. To go in a gym or out for a run till my body is drained. I feel like a new man after the work out. I go into the work outs ready to leave a pool of sweat on the ground. To push my body to it's limits. Then once I improve on all my areas in the work outs... I do it all over again.
Working out you can never blame someone for failing at it. A work out is yours to control. You set your goals and go for it. If you haven't reached your goal. You haven't pushed yourself far enough.
