After separating from the Army I struggled adjusting to civilian life and staying in shape. I packed on a few pounds and when I finally started going to the gym again, I thought it was too late. After a year of two-a-days, a strict diet, and tons of hard work, I went from 280lbs, to 230. Losing around 18% Body fat. as well as putting on a lot of lean muscle. I went from trying to lose the weight to trying to amateur "body building", if that's what you'd call it.
I saw huge results when I first started working out, shedding massive amount of fat and gaining lean muscle. For me it's my happy place, the one time of the day when I can unleash all lifes stress, all the pent up anger. If you told me that I'd look like I do now when I first started lifting, I would've called you a liar. And now that I've come so far I don't want to stop. Never stop, never settle, the sky's the limit. I believe that the harder you push yourself in the gym, the more life can throw at you and not even be phased. Giving that maximal effort and seeing results is what gives me that natural high. Pushing yourself further than you ever though possible.
