I've always been pretty active since I was about 14, just doing exercises like jumping jacks, crunches, running, and hitting the punching bag.( It was about being skinny then ) I would curl dumbbells every once in awhile, but never really got into free weights and lifting until this past year or so. After giving birth to my son 4 years ago I really got into the gym and made fitness a part of my lifestyle doing body weight exercises and machine exercises. I loved fitness so much that I even got certified in turbo kick and pilates, while I enjoyed learning and getting certified in both of them, it just wasn't quite for me and I really haven't done much with my certifications. It wasn't until I came across bodybuilding.com and seeing some of these amazing women with awesome muscles and physiques that got me more into the weights and lifting, and bam...this was more my kind of thing!! I enjoyed seeing my muscles develop and become more defined, and I when I began to weight train I started working areas that I have always neglected, such as my chest and back. Now both are trained on separate days in the week, along with legs/glutes, abs, and arms :) I started workout out and building muscle because I love to see the results when I work for something! It's a great feeling, and I even furthered my education in fitness by getting certified as a personal trainer :)
