At the age of 5, I started to play tee ball. We would spend our summer's riding our bikes down to the pool often more than once a day and then at night we would play ball. I have a forever love of the game and now I am a Red Sox fan. I was very active and enjoyed being on our dance team. I played every sport offered at school at one point or another- track, volleyball, and basketball. I have ran off and on, did Pilates for awhile, yoga, and cycling. However, to be honest I didn't really try lifting weights until last year when I hired a trainer. I got a bit frustrated I wasn't seeing results. As the last year has progressed what I found out was my hormones were off and I have since started to wear an Estrogen patch. I am excited for 2013 and I have a good feeling this is the year to hit my goals.
As I have built working out more and more into my lifestyle, it becomes almost an addiction. The craving for how good it makes you feel, the energy it gives me, and the great endorphin's. However, more recently it is also the connections or the community with the people I meet because you are working out. I have never known such wonderful people who embrace who you are, who want to help you, who love being your cheerleader, and that is amazing.
