I got into the lifestyle of going out all the time, it became part of my routine. I was unaware that my life was spiraling a little out of control. I had gained about 32 pounds in a matter of a couple years from drinking and eating fast food and drinking mountain dews constantly. I always loved working out and was always pretty slim, but for whatever reason iI became a "cardio Queen!!" I would lose a couple but then see no more pounds coming off, yet I was still drinking and eating poorly.
It was until I got in trouble with the law, that kind of was like a slap in the face for me, like the universe saying, "Ammber wake up, you have so much more potential than this!"
So I decided to move and clear my mind, surround myself with family and supportive friends, and my mom would hint like Ammber you look so swollen. SO I was sick of it, I decided to do some research and started noticing that forums were talking about lifting weights! So I saw Jamie Eason's page on bodybuilding.com and decided to give it a try!
Sure enough I started to see results and I felt so empowered that I am so in love with being fit and lifting weights. I then started to look at Ashley Horners workouts and sample diet plans, to change things up. I love researching new workouts and new recipes!
I currently am about to get my certificate from NASM for personal training, and I will be attending school in January for Health Science and Fitness! This is just the beginning!
I love working out because I feel like so accomplished when I am done, it has made me feel empowered. It also has been great getting feedback from people and them asking me what have i been doing. It is awesome!
