Never in my wildest dreams did I expect to be where I am today. My name is Allanna Jones-Anstaett, I am a 1st Lieutenant in the United States Air Force. January 1, 2014 I would have considered myself overweight, defeated and unhappy with how I looked and how others saw me. As an Officer in the military I am supposed to lead by example and deep down I didnââ¬â¢t feel like I was doing that. When I made the decision that I was going to do my first fitness competition I weighted 190 lbs with a goal weight of 140 lbs in 5 months. There were individuals in my life who thought I didnââ¬â¢t have the will power or ambition to get to that goalââ¬Â¦.Challenge accepted! So for 5 months straight I ate 100% clean, every single thing that went into my mouth I wrote down, and hit the gym on average 3 hours a day (keep in mind I work full time 5 days a week). I would get up at 4 AM to do cardio then after work go lift. Guess what? I did it! By changing my lifestyle and working out I lost 50 lbs in 5 months. My first completion was May 2014, Fitness New Mexico Championships, I had entered into Novice Bikini, Novice Figure & Model placing 1st, 2nd & 3rd. Then in November 2014, Fitness Southwest Championships, I once again decided to do the trifecta placing Overall Model Champion, 1st in Figure & 3rd in Bikini. I was blessed with the opportunity do a photo shoot for Flex Magazine and got a full page feature. I have also had a handful of features on bodybuilding.com We ââ¬ËMirin. Honestly I canââ¬â¢t even put into words the shock, excitement, you name it, of seeing myself in magazines or online. In my off season I was able to gain 15 lbs of muscle with the goal to bring an even better package to the stage this time around and be competitive for a Pro Card.... and guess what?! May 16, 2015 this all became a reality and I became a Fitness Universe Figure Pro.
Why I Love it
I donââ¬â¢t compete because I like the idea of winning. I compete because Iââ¬â¢m addicted to being physically fit and living a healthy life. I compete because I love being surrounded by people who have the same mentality. I compete because I love being STRONG. I compete because I see others inspired by my transformation and see that as long as you have dedication and passion anything is possible.
