I started training intensely at 18 ( freshman year of College) Initially my motive was to avoid the infamous freshman fifteen. I met a good friend of mine in NYC, who was a personal trainer as well as a MMA fighter. he taught my not only how to train, but the importance of nutrition's symbiotic role in reaching my goals. After college ended I moved to Orlando and met a mentor at the time who was an IFBB Pro figure athlete. I started looking into the sport of competing because I always was a competitive person. She had all the resources to get me there so I decided to test out the new bikini division in 2009. After my first show I was hooked! I have now competed in 8 shows, turned pro after my fourth and was honored to qualify and compete in the first ever bikini Olympia.
Why I Love it
I love working out because it goes along with my passion to live a happy and healthy lifestyle. My desire for nutrition lead me into working out religiously. I love to learn and put to use theories in the fitness world. I also love to share what I have learned from trial and error and to motivate and inspire others. Working out allows me to have total control of my health and my well being and truly practice what I preach
