I've always worked out. I was pretty much outcasted in high school so during pe classes I just did the weights. I've always workout out, but nothing serious. Always over ate. My top weight was 180lbs at 5'7. Mostly fat. Turning point came when I had to suddenly go to a funeral and couldnt get into my suit. It was painful and hurt. I saw pictures that people took of me and I looked FAT. My dr told me to lose wieght and grabbed a huge chunk of fat off my waist. Embarrassing. My cholesteral and triglycerides were high ...very high. Blood Pressure was borderline hyptertension. I have my physical next month. Cant wait! I'm down to 167 and depression is just about gone. I will never stop going to the gym!
I like being in control of my body and the feeling after a good workout is intense! My strength is increasing and Im looking better!
There is also a bit of brotherhood in the gym I go to...sort of unwritten, but it's great to see the same people every day or every other day as the case may be. But I'm doing it.... for me.
