Book Introduction:
From Seoul to Fitness: My Journey as a Part-Time Personal Trainer is a memoir that shares my experiences and challenges as a young adult working as a personal trainer in South Korea's bustling capital city. As a foreigner in a new country, I struggled to find my place in the fitness industry and navigate the cultural differences that come with working with clients from diverse backgrounds.
Despite the challenges, I discovered a passion for helping others achieve their fitness goals and learned valuable lessons along the way. Through this book, I hope to inspire and encourage others who may be considering a career in personal training or are simply curious about the industry.
Chapter 1: Finding My Passion for Fitness
Growing up, I was never particularly athletic or interested in sports. However, when I moved to Seoul to study abroad, I discovered a new passion for fitness. Living in a city where fitness is a prominent aspect of daily life, I began exploring different workouts and fitness trends.
It wasn't until I stumbled upon a personal training session at a local gym that I realized my true calling. Seeing the positive impact that a trainer could have on someone's fitness journey, I felt compelled to pursue a career in personal training.
Over the next few years, I worked hard to gain the necessary certifications and experience to become a part-time personal trainer. Although it was challenging at times, the sense of fulfillment that came with helping clients achieve their fitness goals made it all worth it.
In this chapter, I'll share more about my journey towards discovering my passion for fitness and the steps I took to become a personal trainer in Seoul.
