To be honest, I didnt start working out till I was a senior in High School. All my friends were a lot bigger than me and I always felt like I was the shadow. I remember attempting to go to the gym for a week with this guest pass I had acquired and gave it up because I didnt like the feeling of the soreness. I gave up because I didnt have the drive, the self motivation to keep going. Then one day I told myself I was tired of being this 6'0 kid that weighed 150lbs, and I would give it atleast a month before I quit. 8 years later Im still at the gym and I feel and look the best I have ever been, each year getting better and better.
I use to watch a lot of videos from one of my Idols Greg Plit. He use to give me new ways to innovate myself and create challenges that would push me to the next level. He passed away several years ago, but he said something that always stuck with me. He compared the body to a block of clay. Describing how at first it has no shape but the more you keep working on it, the more detail and shape the clay turns into what ever it is you are trying to create. I've always viewed my body in a similar way.
