I originally started working out when I played football in high school. I pretty much did only what I was told to do, and never really enjoyed myself. My passion for working out came a year after I graduated. My friend came to me and said that he wanted to start working out, and he knew that I knew a relatively good amount about it, so he asked me to help him. When I started up again, I quickly realized that I didn't know jack squat. I quickly fell in love with reading articles, and shaping my workouts, and I have loved it ever since.
I can honestly say that working out presented a new challenge that I had not faced very much before I started. This challenge was the mental challenge to stick to a regimen, even when it seemed to be doing nothing, and stick to a diet. When you fully dive into working out, it becomes a lifestyle, and that's a lifestyle that I enjoy immensely. When I imagine my life without the gym, I cannot see a happy me.
