As far back as I can remember, I've always been very active. Rollerblading, dance, gymnastics; I loved it all. I didn't really become concerned about my health until I went through a difficult period in my life back in 2006. I was in an abusive marriage and I felt like I was losing control of everything, so I just stopped eating. That was one thing that I felt I did have control over, so I lost a lot of weight. Just imagine what a 5'4", 80lbs 24 year old looked like! My hair was falling out, I was sick all the time; It wasn't until a very special friend (who is now my wonderful husband) motivated me to take control of my life, including my health. I got out of my abusive marriage, got into yoga & lifting, started eating nutritious, wholesome foods, and thus my love for fitness & nutrition flourished! I recently completed my personal training course through the National Academy of Sports Medicine so that I can utilize my enthusiasm for fitness to help others!
