I worked out years back but work, knee injuries and family took it out of my routine. Last summer, having peaked over 270 I decided it was time to focus. I had a partially torn ACL from when I was training for triathlons a few years prior, and fully tore it a month into getting back on the horse. Had ACL surgery September 2010. Didn't start hitting the gym regularly until November or so. In March this year I was diagnosed with Hashimoto disease (auto immune hypo thyroid) that seems to have been a condition for some years based on what my endo's had to say. That was a huge piece of the puzzle for me for my wild weight fluctuations the past decade. Still dialing in synthroid dosage, but I feel like I'm in my 20's again and ready to look it too! Being an eleven year veteran of the Marine Corps (out for a dozen years now) it's high time!
