I started out only wanting to tone up then as the year went on with my amazing personal trainer... I decided toning up wasn't enough, I needed to add weight. (I was around 87 lbs in 2012... My legs did not look good, I was skinny but extremely unfit).
After 6 months of training once a week with a personal trainer, I bought my weight up to 95lbs. I can see the difference in "skinny" and "fit" and I LOVED being FIT and the journey to mass building began... Now, it's 2015 I'm at 102 lbs and 14% body fat. It's slow and steady to the personal fitness model body.
Now I am ready to train with a personal trainer again to work towards my goal more effectively.
I don't go to the gym because "I have to". Going to the gym shouldn't be a chore, you must get in the right mind set that this is beneficially to you and it's something that you want to commit to. I go to the gym to improve myself mentally and physically; it helps me cope with stress and physical fatigue. I feel energized just by acknowledging the fact that I will be going to the gym later in the day and I feel satisfied after each workout.
I love seeing results every month, knowing that I am progressing towards my goal.
