I got started because I deployed and everyone that I worked with worked out or were certified personal trainers. I got curious and asked questions, I started looking online at a few things and started to get motivated. When I got back from my deployment and finished my R&R and Leave, I started the Jamie Eason Live Fit 12 week program. I changed the way I eat and started to go to the gym every morning.
My family is not one of the healthiest families around. I grew up learning how to cook everything in butter and salt and then adding sour cream or some other topping to it. Changing the way that I eat makes me feel better about myself, I know that I am giving my body what it needs. Working out makes me feel stronger, not only muscle strong but also as a person. I have gained confidence in myself because of it.
Bodybuilding.com is amazing! I get all of my recipies off of it and on the days that I am feeling a little unmotiveted I log on and check a few things out and then take my butt to the gym!!! I have learned so much about working out and nutrition from it.
