I started working out when I quit high school swimming 2 years ago. I started playing a lot of video games and I ended up gaining 30 pounds. I realized that I wasn't very strong and I was getting fat so depression got the best of me. I was depressed when I hit 195 pounds. I told myself I wouldn't hit 200 so I began to run more and go to the gym every day and watch what I ate and drank. I gained 60lbs on my bench and 100lbs on back squat. But I was still fat. So I started to run and do core workouts. At the end of the summer, 3 months later. I dropped 40lbs and looked great. So my next goal was to train for wrestling, I started wrestling at 11% body fat and ended at 8%. Ever since then I have been working out.
I love that sore feeling, I love feeling tired because it tells me I'm progressing. I picture my goal and I keep going until my goal becomes a reality. I've always had the mentality of this: If you feel like you're out of shape, don't get down about it. Go do something about it.
