I maybe out of shape but I've done plenty of working out!. I've done Pilates, P90X (which I love), and other cardio workouts. However my whole problem has just been to continue the workout after 2 weeks and not have breaks that last..what weeks or months. I had started and stopped so many diets that it just did not do anything for me but leave me disappointing.
When I got started this year things were different. Instead of me wanting to loose weight just to loose weight I had an actual goal. I wanted to run races such at The Spartan Race, Warrior Dash, & Run For Your Lives.(Run For Your Lives has zombies chasing you on an obstacle course..I mean how effing cool is that!) It seemed pretty cool and like it would be a great challenge for me.My goal solely was to get in physical lean shape like a fitness model, build my endurance, build my strength, and run those race! I figured it would not only motivate me to lose weight, but after I lost it, training for the next race would help keep me in shape.
I remember reading a quote that said "The worst workout is the one you didn't do". Now that I have started back to working out, I don't plan on stopping, and I'm trying to make it a lifestyle for me. The very first thing I do in the morning is my workout. I love working out more now because I know I'm getting healthier, I'm excited about results, and I'm even more excited about running a race.
