My wife got a Groupon for a month trial at the 92Y in Manhattan. We lived in the best 90s and the facility was only a few blocks away. She dug the yoga and pilates (I did too, honestly) but I found myself in the gym everyday. I was intimidated by the free weights at first and spent my time learning the machines. We moved to the north Bronx in September, so far north we were basically in Yonkers. I luckily found a great gym in Blink and established a foundation for my body. Since moving back to Pittsburgh I've started doing calisthenics and gymnastic/fighting workouts in local parks as well as weight training in my basement. At 39 I realized you are never to old to start taking care of yourself. I'm 41 now and in the best shape of my life!
I like the idea of an online community to interact, dig your techniques and methods etceteras.
Endorphins. Exercise helps quell the darkness. Working out keeps my soul-sword sharp!
