My mom and I both have lumbar scoliosis. She is 42 and 70 lbs overweight and suffers terribly with body aches and even developed arthritis in her late 30s.Comparing our x-rays, my scoliosis is worse than hers but because of my current health, I don't feel it as much. I try to give her tips on developing a healthier life-style, but there is a trend of her gaining 10 lbs each year. Seeing her pain is why I started working out and caring for my body so much. Also, since she has since my dieting and how i workout even when i vacation with them, she is starting to watch her diet more. I hope to inspire my mom to clean out her kitchen of all the bad things and to start over with healthy choices and a regular exercise plan.
