Was a Shy and often intimidated kid. Bullied and pushed around cause I was bigger then some of my friends but not strong enough to hold my own. Played HS football and was told I should lift to get stronger....when I finally entered at the end of my Sophmore year....it took over most of my free time till i graduated....I was pushing about 225 and squating about the same. Impressive for a 5'8 kid who isnt the most athletic person. But where I lack skill I had heart...and It took work but I got stronger...now I miss that Weight room.
Why I Love it
Its the look and feel of my body responding to the forces applied to my muscles. Getting stronger helps build confidence in my self and my abilities to do every day tasks.
