After gradually putting on about 20kg to my normal weight, I decided it was time to do something about it. At my heaviest I was 75kg, and for being 5ft it really shows!
As I wasn't comfortable working out at a commercial gym straight away, I started doing my own little exercises in my garage. Punching the bag, skipping, box jumps etc was what I started with, and with my own version of healthy eating, I started seeing results.
I joined Fitness First a month or two after that, and have been a member ever since. Couldn't imagine not being a member of a gym, you really get addicted.
And the rest is history!
To me, working out has become such a part of my life that if I miss a day of training or I am sick, I feel extremely guilty! Although some days are harder than others to get out of bed, once I'm there I feel good that I did it. I love the way it makes you feel and I love when I start seeing my body change. It definitely has become a lifestyle!
