In October 2001 after quitting smoking again, and getting off depo, and living a life of always being overweight and lacking any knowledge of nutrition, I started working at a vitamin shoppe... at 185lbs.
That same fall i started doing what has become the most important thing in my life, tribal style belly dance.
I lost 60 lbs on the atkins diet and dropped 12% bf over the next year.
Now i teach and perform tribal bd and bounce back and forth between 140-150 lbs... proud that i have for the most part kept off alot of the weight and slowly gain muscle.
My dad is a marathon runner, and i also enjoy running, although i have bad knees and broke a foot 6 yrs ago. This makes cardio a bitch. However i like to swim, i have my scuba license. And i love to lift... funny isn't it. I feel in control and powerful, and every year i get stronger.
