It was just after my birthday and I was dealing with really bad health anxiety. Several people close to me had died or found out they were sick and it really made me think a lot about my own health. With every symptom I had, I thought I was dying and these thoughts would consume my mind throughout the day. I decided it was time for a change! I started following several people on Instagram that had lost a lot of weight from healthy eating and exercise and those posts were my daily motivation. One day I showed my husband a post of a guy that had lost a lot of weight and I told him he should contact the guy to see what he did. He turned it around on me and said "why don't you contact him?", so I did. He worked with me and sent me a customized eating plan and workout plan which I started to follow. I also found bodybuilding.com and I love all of the free resources on this website! I have lost over 40 pounds since starting and this is just the beginning for me...I still have a lot more to lose to get to where I want to be but I am determined to reach my goal one step at a time!
I love the way I feel after a good workout. I haven't dealt with anxiety since starting and I know the change in my activity and eating has made all the difference. That alone is enough reason to never stop but I also love the changes in my body. I like the feeling I get when I push myself to do something I haven't done before and I can actually do it, such an awesome feeling!
