I got started by first changing my diet, then cardio exclusively. I lost a lot of weight but hit a plataeu and couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong. I finally purchased a personal trainer and starting using weights for the first time EVER. After a few weeks I broke through the plataeu and fell in love with the transformation that lifting weights gave me! Now I can't imagine my life without it!

The physical changes are great, of course, but I love lifting because of the mental change and desire for healthy living I have seen develop in my 4 kids ranging ages 12-4.
