I first got on here in June of 2013. However, I didn't really officially start until December 30, 2013. I have been WANTING to lose weight and get in shape for years now. I have always had a problem staying motivated. I found, towards the end of December 2013, that if I visit the site every day, read the motivational Fit Board posts, and post a few of my own, I am able to stay motivated. I have always thought I wanted this, but for some reason, now I feel I want it more. Wanting it is not enough, you have to want it enough to do the work. I have always known I CAN do the work, but I have to actually do it to get where I want to be. I'm hoping that by this time next year, I'm able to inspire others with my before and after pictures.
I like being sore, it tells me I've challenged myself. I have always enjoyed lifting heavy things, unfortunately, that is probably why I'd had a hernia since I was about 16 years old. In 2006 I had a surgery to correct that, so there is nothing to stop me now. I have had plenty of time to heal and am ready to change my life. I love working out because I feel like I have accomplished something. I know every workout I complete brings me one step closer to my ultimate goal.
