Since I was very young I was heavily involved in softball. As a pitcher it was important to remain in top physical shape. I owe it to my father who has instilled great determination and work ethic in me. My father stressed that remaining in top physical shape was number one. He made sure I always had an intense workout plan (mixing HIIT training and weight lifting). I went on to play softball and cross county at the collegiate level. During season it was very hard to balance weightlifting and up to 6 games a week. After college graduation I knew it was a perfect opportunity to put myself to work in the gym--consistently without interruption of a sport season.
I love body building/working out because it gives me a sense of control and confidence for my body. I enjoy seeing my own progress that I worked countless hours for. It is extremely gratifying to know that I worked for my progress. I am not a certified personal trainer however I do receive questions from former team mates wondering how I stay so disciplined. My answer is easy "it is fun". I thoroughly enjoy lifting and taking my body on a transformation journey.
