My Dad bought the book, "Arnold: The Education of a Bodybuilder" from the thrift store, and I did not think much of it. A week later, I went to go and see the new movie in the theater at the time, "Total Recall," with Arnold Schwarzenegger. After watching that movie, I thought it was the greatest movie of all time, as it seemed to combine elements of all my favorite types of movies, like James Bond, and Star Wars.
After returning home totally inspired from the theater that night, I went home and started reading Arnold's book, and started trying some of the exercises listed in it. I was amazed how great I felt! I was going through stressful times during that period in my life, and lifting weights was such a great release for me. I have been hooked ever since!
It is a great stress reliever. It is also really good for my blood sugar, appearance, confidence, and health overall.
