It all started, as with many people, being overweight and wanting to do something about it. I was modifying my diet and only started with light cal-esthetics in the mornings before work and noticed massive changes in my physique just from a few short minutes a day. It quickly snowballed from there. After I started working out with an already highly athletic co-worker, I quickly discovered that learning and doing by myself would have to become a part of my life.
The added health benefits for starters. When I was overweight I noticed that I would be frequently ill, and had little motivation to do much of anything. Work related stress would cause me to have physical almost debilitating effects. I would get muscle cramps, gastrointestinal pain, and would have difficulty sleeping.
Now, I'm rarely ever ill even in winter and flu season, my allergies have almost completely abated, and I am much better at coping with the stresses of work and everyday living.
