At one time, I weighed 245 pounds. I have slowly lost weight by making small lasting changes in my lifestyle over a long period of time. I have plateaued at this weight for a few years. For the most part, I am ok with that because it means that I know weight management. I will never go back to being 245 pounds again. Now, I am ready to break through it and bring out my inner beast.
I play roller derby, in case my profile picture is ambiguous in some way. I am wanting to up my game. In order to do that, I need a stronger body. Hitting the gym outside of practice is the only way to make that happen.
I'm coming off an injury and an illness that had me sidelined for about a month. I'm feeling better and back on the road towards my goals!
I feel better when I workout. I have more energy. My moods are better. I'm less stressed out. I love that I am doing something to improve my quality of life. I like shopping for clothes because they fit better. I like pushing my body to see what the next level it. There is such a rush when I reach a new goal or do something that I haven't been able to do; it makes me think I can do ANYTHING that I set my mind to.
