I got started because I had added a night job for a while that had the benefit of a very discounted membership to the gym, since our appearance reflected on the company and our boss wanted to encourage us to work out, etc. I started by running, mostly, and then learned how to use some of the weight machines. I really liked it, but only went a couple times a week due to my schedule. A while after that, one of my friends introduced me to P90X. After I did one workout, I bought the program. From there I just wanted more, and different. And seeing how my body was changing helped. From there, I completed Insanity, Insanity the Asylum, and just recently Body Beast - which is where I became more interested in muscle/body building.

I love seeing the potential that my body/muscles can reach. I love how it makes me feel when people compliment me on my physique. I just feel very strong and empowered when I'm in the gym. I love the sweat. I love the burn. I love the pain. :)
