I was a pretty overweight child and young adult. My weight at the time I reached 20 years old had got to 260 pounds, (117 kilos). My brother, who is a competitive bodybuilder, got me to start going to the gym after my weight contributed to me getting very sick. I started going with him and really just went through the motions to develop the habit of going. I started with light cardio, walking, jogging, racquetball then after a couple of years I had dropped approx. 30-35 pounds and decided to try the weights out. It has stuck with me now even through all of the moving around I do for work. I am very serious about lifting and bodybuilding now and love to see others getting involved and helping them out as well.
I start getting excited for my workouts as soon as my feet hit the floor every morning. There isn't a better feeling out there than seeing the results of the hard work and dedication you put in to yourself when you commit to working out as a lifestyle and actually make a huge difference in your appearance and overall health. Everything changes for the better. I have met some of the best people in fitness settings and also helped to motivate others to jump in and crush it!
