I played football all the way through college so weights and working out were always a huge part of my life. Once football life was over i still enjoyed working out but wanted to find a way to make it competitive now that i wouldn't be competing on the field anymore. My uncle had been doing bodybuilding shows since I was a young kid so I had been around it. I asked him to help me try to prepare for my first show to see if I liked it. Since I've competed in 5 shows and have made the bodybuilding / fitness lifestyle a priority in my life.
Bodybuilding / working out is about more than just improving your physique or physical appearance. While I encourage everyone to reach their goals for their ideal physique I also encourage them to be mindful of the other benefits that bodybuilding provides such as dedication, determination, discipline, and mental toughness.
