I grew up a heavy kid, but always played sports. My dad surprised me on my 14th birthday with a joe weider bench and dumbbell set. Since that day I have been on and off training. I was a 3 sport four year varsity athlete when I hit high school. So I had a constant need to be in the gym. I was involved in football, basketball, and track and field. I went on later in pursuit of a career in football until June 25th, 2006, I suffered what was said to be a career ending injury. Where I dislocated my right knee and severed the nerve that controls my right foot. To this day all though I can longer participate in running sports, even though I have tried, I do enjoy training with free weights. In November of 2010 I competed in my first and last bodybuilding event that was an OCB sponsored in Syracuse, NY. I took last place, but I did not care for it was just an opportunity to compete in a sport. Now this brings me to present times. I found the perfect sport for a guy like myself who has been beaten, dragged, and rough around the edges ARMWRESTLING. I don't have to run and I stay completely motivated to be stronger everyday.
