I have always been active but had never really gotten into weightlifting. During my first deployment to Afghanistan, I utilized weightlifting as my solace and I found it to be beneficial on many different levels.

Not only did weightlifting kick things up a notch for me but it also made me feel better physically and emotionally. I found that I had more energy when I needed energy and getting a better quality of sleep when it was time for that too. To me though the biggest benefit to weightlifting has been the solace. Weightlifting puts you in a mental vacation so to speak and who doesn't want that. :-) I LOVE IT!!!
