I have always been an active person. From middle school sports varying from tennis, running and volleyball. It wasn't until 2007 during my first deployment where I had to deal with a lot of change and a lot of experiences that changed my perspective in life. I found that running helped with the emotional pain I went through during deployment - seeing lives being taken away and injured Soldiers whose lives would be changed forever. I put all those negatives experiences into something positive, I ran. It helped me clear my thoughts and take me to a place that made me feel better. After a while I started to see changes into my body and I felt different. I felt like a million bucks, actually! I found that I could handle stress a lot better and I hardly ever got sick. I found myself just eager to run longer and faster each day.
I have been serving in this fine US Army for 11 years now and enjoy every single day. I have devoted so much of my time and dedicated my life to this Army to be a positive role model to everyone who's paths I have crossed both military and civilians, friends and family, peers, subordinates and leaders alike. I am married to an amazing man who also serves in the Army as a medic. I am almost 30 years old and I am at the point of my professional life where I want to slow down and focus on me, my body and challenge myself in a different way other than the military aspect. I have been wanting to transform my body, we only have one! It takes a lot of time and pure dedication to focus on getting your body to where you want it and it is challenging enough being in the military or any job that requires you to fulfill obligations at a drop of a dime.
I love being fit, feeling great, seeing results and its beneficial overall. I am in my own world when I am working out - running, lifting, and even playing sports.
